A resident of Ventura, Calif., first-time author Emily De La Llave is a wife, mother of two children, and has worked with Young Life for over 17 years.  Navigating her son’s lost-tooth disappointment on December 23rd, sparked Emily and her kids to write A Fairy Christmas.

Doing her best writing parked alongside the California Central Coast in her family’s Sprinter van, Emily hopes to impart a sense of the Tooth Fairy’s tinseled tenacity on her children and fellow readers for years to come.

Before adopting the self-proclaimed title as the “Tooth Fairy’s Agent”, Emily was, and continues to be an extraordinary event coordinator. An acclaimed gatherer of people, Emily is known most for creating space for celebration, purpose and belonging.  Through events big and small, her efforts have facilitated more than “Tooth Fairy money” as she helps Young Life mission partners host giving circles to inspire generosity in new and adventurous ways to make a difference in the lives of teenagers.
